Ukrainian state-run energy company Naftogaz Ukrainy owes U.S. $2.02 billion for Russian gas supplies and has not agreed on repayment yet, gas giant Gazprom CEO Alexei Miller told reporters Tuesday.
“At the moment, the debt of Naftogaz Ukrainy for gas supplied in August, October, and November amounts to U.S. $2.02 billion. We are looking for solutions to this problem, and holding talks, but no agreements on payment delays have been reached yet,” Miller said.
Naftogaz Ukrainy CEO Yevgeny Bakulin said Tuesday that it agreed to postpone payments for gas supplied in October–December till March 2014.
